A lonely Snowy Owl was minding her own business in the middle of a farmer's field on a balmy -24C sunny morning when a pair of Raven decided to check on her. One Raven stayed on course and flew away; however, the more adventurous (or amorous) one decided to have a closer look of the Snowy.  The Snowy Owl smiled as the Raven approached her, exchanging pleasantries I presume. Then the Raven settled down close to her and they had a heart to heart, after all it was the eve of Valentine's Day. End of Story.

I've only ever sighted 3 Ravens in 25 years of birding, each one years apart, here in Mississauga. Lots of Snowy Owls various cities and locations!

Ravens are huge. I've nicknamed them "black chickens"!

Downsview Park is quite consistent with Raven sighting - a pair nests in the nearby Bombardier buildings and often seen inside the park, flying over or chasing other raptors around.
