I guess over the past several weeks a coyote "attacked" several people -- the coyote was euthanized but following that, there was another coyote "attack". They have linked the attacks to a particular den on private property and have ordered the owner to remove vegetation and trees / logs that will attract coyotes.

Ridiculous.

I understand some of the concern -- a toddler was bitten on the cheek while on her backyard deck and that incident could easily have gone awry.

I note all of the victims are women and not all of the victims were actually bitten -- some were merely scratched.

Coyotes know how to kill -- the fact that the toddler was lightly bitten on the cheek tells you that something was up. I'm pretty sure this pair was being fed by a woman (And that's why all of the victims are females). That's pretty classic fed coyote behaviour -- nipping at people to solicit food.

If I were the owner of the property -- and I don't have a guilty conscience b/c its been me that was feeding them -- I'd tell Burlington to *&%$ *$%! (Except I'd actually say the phrase.)
