It's now September and there are signs of the times. In the front yard, across the street in the woodlot, there is flocking behaviour. Perhaps they are all listening along with me to Eine kleine Nachtmusik, which I'm playing on the stage monitor speakers. When the music was over they collectively left the scene.

Thank you for proving music to them. A bumble bee came and tried to feed on my roses. I felt sorry because there is not too many flowers or pollen. I wanted to give him something, what is your suggestion?

Don't interfere with a bumblebee. There are hundreds of species of them here in Ontario and they all manage very well without human intervention, as if that state of affairs could ever really be satisfied. There are about 70,000 species world-wide, so don't worry about their welfare beyond eschewing known toxins in your garden. Also, bumblebees are known for never holding a grudge.
