On my way to a Scarborough park this morning I thought that I would also drop by Rouge Beach Park (mouth of the Rouge River) to see if there was any new water fowl. There were indeed more Canada geese than during my last visit and almost no Green-winged Teal, except perhaps way out on the flood plane. I was delighted to see that a few Wood ducks had come closer to shore. There were also a couple of N. Shovelers. The light near shore was just shade because the sun was still too low in the sky. There was a Great Egret and one GBH out on the flood plane, well lit at their distant location.
