Full sun at 8 o'clock in the morning but clouds moved in after 9 o'clock.  7 degrees without noticeable wind.  Extremely quiet on site.  WT sparrows and a few Song sparrows active in weeds, as well as a few RC kinglet.  No warblers seen.  Noticed two House wren at the same time and also spotted one Winter wren.  The Winter wren entered a crevice in a dead tree and therefore I staked it out hoping that it would re-emerge.  It didn't oblige.  One Red-bellied woodpecker (briefly) and one juvenile Yellow-belled sapsucker (briefly).  No towhees seen today, nor did I hear any call.  Checked ebird and found little action elsewhere, at least none out in the east end of the GTA.  I don't know if I'll bother to go out tomorrow, although getting out does manage to get me up early, which my research suggests is a good thing.
