I have been waiting for some time for the water at Rattray Marsh to get low enough for the Herons and Egrets to return. Well, they have. Yesterday (Fri. July 18) there were 11 Great Blue Herons. The most I have ever seen there (or anywhere for that matter). There was also one lone Great Egret but it didn't stick around.
