Nighthawks have (Finally) Arrived
on:
June 04, 2008, 11:06:33 PM
On Monday evening I heard my first Common Nighthawks of the year flying near the RL Clark Filtration Plant (next to Col Sam Smith Park). This seems about 2 weeks later than normal.
Has anyone else been seeing them?

Yes, there is a resident one in the Yonge St. Clair area - hear and see him every night and sometimes first thing in the morning - territorial - will chase seagulls etc.. that stray into "his" airspace.

Last weekend saw a pair stooping and bombing each other up at Kortright - awesome!
