August 9th - Green heron & Least Bittern

 Not much wind this morning and this made it seem even warmer.  Out east I was hoping to find a few new shorebirds but all that I saw was a single Semipalmated plover and a couple of Sanderlings.   Fortunately a Green-backed heron showed up but only after I quit my favoured position.   At Rotary Park in Ajax I was hoping to find the gallinule and the Least bittern.  I glimpsed the gallinule behind reeds but it did not come out into the open.  The Least bittern also mostly stayed within the reeds.
