Not sure if anyone else witnessed something like this but in my yard (condo) on Sunday morning and afternoon, there was an impressive number of Robins all over the place, acting far from ordinary. They were in evergreens, some with those blue berries, some with pinecones. Today, not a sign of them.
I'm wondering if from the extreme cold perhaps the pinecones opened and sparked a feeding frenzy, not really sure. I've seen an increase in Robins lately but nothing like what I saw yesterday.
