I saw my first 2 Barn Swallows of the year at Sam Smith Park yesterday afternoon.

A Flicker and a small flock of D-C Cormorants were the only other new migrants I noticed.  There are still lots of Red-necked and Horned Grebes there. I only found 1 White-winged Scoter - down from the dozen or so a couple of weeks ago.

Hey.. Good spotting :!:

On our way to Port Colborne today, while passing just East of Welland

I spotted two Barn Swallows over a farm field. We were on Chippawa creek rd.

I like using the backroads to get home.

I'll check out Cement rd.  and the Bay later..

We also saw some barn swallows out on the Spit, at the bridge. Lots of tree swallows too.

Hey!!

Tuesday and again today I spotted Barn swallows at Downsview AFB.

I Think that the new Drainage  area in the park is going to attract a whole lot more of our feathered friends.  I can see changes happening already..
