I'm looking forward to this - hopefully the weather will be good!  BBQ at West end of the lake.   I will be standing there wearing my binoculars, holding a Coke in one hand and a burger in the other, probably getting ketchup and mustard all over my clothing like usual.  Why just eat food when you can wear it as well?

Hi Egret.  Thank You for your posting.  I very rarely go down to Port Credit since I don't drive and am living up in the NW corner of Mississauga.  Usually out walking at Lake Aquitaine and Lake Wabukayne.  Sometimes go to Riverwood Park and Erindale Park as my mom lives close to those 2 parks.  Occasionally go to Rattray Marsh - would like to go there more often actually!

Today was great!

Today at Lake Wabukayne, a beautiful male Wood Duck trying to impress a female Mallard at the East end of the lake - she wasn't impressed. In the same area, a female Mallard with 13 ducklings.

Attended the Open House and Free BBQ today at West end of the lake - yummy burgers! The popcorn was pretty good too. All sorts of interesting displays indoors and people from the Toronto Wildlife Centre were there - very interesting and educational!

Had the truly great pleasure of meeting Mario in person for the first time and taking a look through his awesome photos. :D Went for an interpretive walk around the lake which was interesting as the guide identified various flowers, trees, etc. Apparently a Green Heron had been sighted earlier.

It was nice to see the box for a local food bank was overflowing with donations from people attending today's event.
