I've been trying for ages. Several people told me that they were in one pond or another, but no luck, until I stumbled on them (big feet) and chased 'em down (waiting for them to dive before I moved closer).
Total of around 150 shots, these are the best - don'tcha just love digital.

Humber Bay is my favourite spot to shoot water foul. in that small area, you have hooded mergansers, swans, great blue herons, egrets, gadwells, common mergansers, buffleheads and, once, i spied a long-tail duck.
nice pictures.

Thanks for the compliments all.
I am out that way on Wednesday afternoon, on the way to the Palais to support the Dancing Classrooms (the one where the kids learn to dance and compete against other schools. The movie Take the Lead (filmed in Toronto) was based on it (also the docutainment - Mad Hot Ballroom).
Anyone else out at Humber Bay for birding/photography?
Dancing?
