I just got back from my first-ever trip to Florida. I was in Tampa for a few days and hired Rick Greenspun (
www.SarasotaBirdingGuide.com) to take me out for a day of birding.
It was 'pick and shovel' birding, according to Rick, as the wind drove many birds to shelter or the other side of the bay. Still, I had a great day and lots of birds.
I recommend Rick if you're in the area. He's down-to-earth, an excellent birder and he works hard to find the birds.
