I found a trio of these sparrow-like birds at the SW end of Bluffers Park yesterday [Saturday]
ca. 1 PM.
They had light stripes above the eyes, whitish throats and collars and prominent white bands
along the forward edge of the dark wings, but no wing bars. The light buff breasts were not streaked in any way and the dark tail feathers were also edged with white.
I'm probably not giving a very accurate description. I have a cropped pic, but have not been
able to paste it into this e-mail, as Walter has done.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Martin
