I birded in High Park today, from sunrise untill early afternoon. I bumped into Howard Shapiro, who was kind enough to show me around the park. Birds were pretty well spread out, i.e. there were no particular areas that were significantly better than others. I had 18 warbler species (including Pine, Bay-breasted, Nothern waterthrush), a Solitary Sandpiper (in the pond at the SE corner of the park), a Red-bellied Woodpecker (south of Colborne lodge). As it is late for Pine warbler now, it is possible that they are breeding in the park.
