It was very quiet in the park this morning and I was just about to call the end of spring migration, when a Gray-cheeked Thrush appeared (south-western corner of the park). My first for the year. Nice.
Later, at the stairs in western end of the Bowl (dog-play ground) I was hard-pressed to find any activity at all, but some patience eventually produced a male Mourning Warbler, a female Tennessee Warbler and two Magnolia warblers. Not bad, I guess migration is not quite over yet.
Three new species for the park this spiring, including Gray-cheeked Thrush, Mourning Warbler and an Eastern Wood-Pewee.
A Coopers hawk is still on the nest just north of the kids play ground.
