Went to the brickworks last night and this morning.
the black crowned night herons are there. there are at least 2 of them and possibly a third. we saw one walking around the gravel path at dusk (was rather funny to see). one was fishing in the large pond today.
if you like taking pictures and love goldfinches, the next few weeks are special. the goldfinches are eating all of the flower tops and you can get 10 ft away from them without disturbing them. with all the nice colours, it makes for a great picture.
also saw one kingfisher, possibly two wood ducks (sounded like them but i couldn't ID them), one baltimore oriole and the usual swallows at the BW.
