If anyone knows how to post the actual image in this text instead of the link, let me know. Every since the Flickr upgrade I have not been able to figure it out. Sorry about the link I perfer to put the actual image in the post.

Looks like it can't be done (or at least be done easily) for now.  This is in the Flickr FAQ section:

Where is the HTML code and photo file link?

The HTML code to embed a photo in a web page that you used to find on the All Sizes page is now only in "Share this." To get to it just go to the main photo page, click "Share this", and then "Get the HTML."

There are a few cases where the code may not be available: 1) If the photo is restricted. 2) If that person has turned off "Share this" or access to original files.

The direct link to a photo file is no longer shown on the page. Per the Flickr Community Guidelines "pages on other websites that display content hosted on flickr.com must provide a link from each photo or video back to its page on Flickr." Linking directly to the photo file doesn't do this.

We understand that many people were using that link on message boards to show their images and we are working on a solution that will allow you to post using BBCode (standard message board code) that links back.

Hi Paul,

Andy showed me this last night:

Go to your photo on Flickr
Right click on the photo
Choose one of the available sizes
Right click on the image thus displayed and go to View Image Info
The filename will be in the page you get
Copy and paste the file location. It will look something like http....farm5.static.flickr.com/4078/4867436968_8abf66dd71_b.jpg

Hope this helps!

Paul,

You have disabled photo downloads, so it's a bit more complicated, but it's still possible.  Exactly how you do it depends on your browser (and your operating system).  In Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Chrome follow the bolded part of Cody's instructions.
Quote from: "Cody"
Go to your photo on Flickr
Right click on the photo
Choose one of the available sizes
Right click on the image thus displayed and go to
View Image Info
The filename will be in the page you get
Copy and paste the file location. It will look something like http....farm5.static.flickr.com/4078/4867436968_8abf66dd71_b.jpg

Then, in Firefox, after you right click, select "View Page Info", then click on the "Media" button in the new window that pops up.  That gives you a list of all the images on the page.  Select the one that ends in .jpg (there is a preview pane).  Right click on that, and you will get the "copy" option.  The rest works the same as before.

You can do it in Internet Explorer, but It's a bit trickier.  There's no "View Page Info" option, so you have to select "View Source".  That shows you the HTML for the whole page.  You then have to scroll down to find the actual image address.  (Don't be fooled by the one near the top:  it's just a thumbnail.  You have to go way down to find the larger version.)

Chrome has different options:  not as easy as Firefox, but easier than IE.  The right click option is called "Inspect element".  That splits your window, with the lower half as the inspection pane.  Click the "Resources" button and scroll down to find your image.  From that resource list, right click on the image preview  That will give you a "copy image URL" option, which allows you to do this:

It also gives you a "save image as" option which is what you were trying to prevent in the first place. :? Oh well, the only way to really protect from copying is to scar the image with some big ugly watermark so that no one would want it.

BTW, nice image!
