Green Heron Migration?

Over the past 2 weeks I have noticed a sudden increase in the number of Photographs taken of Green Herons. Are these just local adults and juveniles or are they migrants?

I noticed this with Black Crowned Night Herons as well- and not just on this forum but others to. Peculiar...

I think it is "post-breeding dispersal" when herons and egrets leave their nesting colonies after breeding and spread around to other areas.
