Hi everyone. I was walking around Lake Wabukayne this morning between 10-11:30am. Sighted the following:
Belted Kingfisher (male) - flying around West end of lake, whirring away, diving for fish. He then flew to top of fence about 9 feet away from where I was sitting at a picnic table, looked me in the eye, whirred very loudly then took off again, whirring and fishing. Wow, it was thrilling getting to see this bird SO close up!

No sign of any Cedar Waxwings today - bummer!

Have they moved on already?
