I was poking around Rosetta McClain Gardens today and saw the usual suspects..birdwise nothing out of the ordinary. Best sighting of the day was a Little Brown Bat,which flew past at about eyelevel off the bluffs. As it approached I thought maybe it was a Swallow. Quickly I recognized the flight was all wrong,so kept on it with my binoculars. Then I thought hmmm could be a bat. It passed close enough I could see its ears and face and wings very clearly. Its the first time Ive seen a bat so well, flying past.(have seen one hanging in a tree elsewhere)
