Beautiful in flight shots, when I get the flight shots part of their wings go blurry..how do you get them so clean/clear?

you need high shutter speeds to prevent wing blurr.
anywhere from 1/1600,to 1/2500 for ducks usually is enough.

no probem.
oh,you may have to crank your ISO up to get those shutter speeds,and sacrifice some DOF.

ahh ok, I guess like you said before, practice practice practice..
i can tell from your pictures too, you have the patience of a saint.
Something which I still need to learn and work on in this field..when I see a bird I get all excited and just want to grab the memory right away, my mind goes blank and I get frustrated thinking about settings and DOF and composition and ..well you get the meaning...
many many things I need to work on,
They say if you admire a photographer, study their pictures..learn from them..

Like I posted to Meghan earlier this week, I need to take the tripod and park myself..and just play with the settings...

  today is dentist day...then provided i'm not in too much pain..off to the park!
