Use this forum to post bird sightings in the Greater Toronto Area.

A general requirement for posting here is to give a location for the birds reported. I will move posts that do not belong here to their appropriate place. Please don't take offence.

Note that backyard reports, general requests for information, help with bird identification, discussions about birding sites, bird migration (e.g. first/last sightings), and environmental policy, belong in other parts of the forum.

Some guidelines:
  • Please use a descriptive subject for your post. For example: "where, when and what".
  • Always add a location description so that other birders can locate the birds you have reported.
  • It is OK to include photos to illustrate some of your sightings, but please consider using the Bird Photo Corner forum for extensive sets of photographs.
  • Further suggestions to revise this guideline are welcome.

I appreciate this website.  I also wish to honour your guidelines.  However, could you let me know a good forum for help with identification.  I have several excellent pictures of a bird, that may be an immature Peregrine Falcon or a Merlin.  Is there a forum where one could post such pictures and get expert help?

Yes, definitely. Try the "Bird ID" forum.
