I expected a quiet day. Bumped into Niloc from this board and Lynne, a regular birder of AB. both said there was nothing happening.
I wish Lynne stuck around, because there were some interesting views.
I watched a few American redstarts feed and was lucky enough to see my second juvie male in the past week.
I also saw breeding male blackpoll warbler (none of my pictures were great. He wasn't very active and was higher in the trees).
There were also a few yellow warblers.
Cedar waxwings have invaded the park and are busy passing gifts to one another.
Also, the resident egret has taken its roost along the pond near the front entrance to the park (immediately off of Lakeshore). if you want a clean view of an egret, this is one of the best places i've seen (with Humber Bay East being the best).
