Obviously these shots are terrific and I'm sure you're delighted to have gotten so close to such a great little bird! A question for Paul or anyone else? What would we call the green muck in which the g. heron is standing? Some kind of algae, maybe? Does anyone know the proper name for that sort of delightful green business?
