Good morning folks.

 Yesterday I met up with Margaret Liubavicius and together we spent an enjoyable day of birding on The Islands and we came up with 87 species including 18 Warblers, 6 Thrushes and 9 Sparrows and below is a copy of my report to the TOC Records Committee.

- Double-crested Cormorant - 750 - overhead thru-out
- Canvasback - 2 - pair at Wards Island ferry dock
- Cooper's Hawk - 2 - Wildlife Sanctuary
- Peregrine Falcon - hunting the airfield on Hanlans Point
- Downy Woodpecker - 13 - thru-out - several frisky birds
- Least Flycatcher - 30 - thru-out - 16 of them in the area beside the eastern gap
- Great Crested Flycatcher - 3 - Wards Island and Hanlans
- Eastern Kingbird - Wards and Hanlans
- Blue-headed Vireo - 25 - thru-out - in threes and fours - my personal record
- Warbling Vireo - 18 - thru-out
- Black-capped Chickadee - 20 - thru-out
- Ruby-crowned Kinglet - 37 - thru-out
- Blue Gray Gnatcatcher - 14 - thru-out
- Veery - 7 - 1 on Wards and 6 on Hanlans
- Gray-cheeked Thrush - 3 - Wards and Hanlans
- Swainson's Thrush - 11 - Hanlans
- Hermit Thrush - 9 - Wards, Sanctuary and Hanlans
- Wood Thrush - 5 - Wards, Gibralter Point and Hanlans
- American Robin - 50 - thru-out
- Gray Catbird - 20 - thru-out
- Brown Thrasher - 3 - Wards and Hanlans
- Blue-winged Warbler - 2 - Snake and Hanlans
- Nashville Warbler - 12 - thru-out
- Northern Parula - 1 - Snake Island
- Yellow Warbler - 88 - thru-out
- Chestnut-sided Warbler - 7 - Wards, Snake, Snug Harbour and Sanctuary
- Magnolia Warbler - 8 - Wards, Snake, Snug and Hanlans
- Cape May Warbler - 4 - Wards and Snake
- Black-throated blue Warbler - 8 - Wards, Snake, Snug, and Sanctuary
- Yellow-rumped Warbler - 70 - thru-out - NOTE - 1 female bird was seen gathering feathers on Hanlans
- Bay-breasted Warbler - 2 - Centre and Sanctuary
- Black-and-white Warbler - 6 - Wards, Snake, Sanctuary and Hanlans
- American Redstart - 2 - Snug
- Common Yellowthroat - 1 - Wards
- Chipping Sparrow - 21 - thru-out
- Grasshopper Sparrow - 1 - well seen as it posed on Gibralter Point
- Song Sparrow - 21 - thru-out
- Lincoln's Sparrow - 13 - Wards and Hanlans
- Swamp Sparrow - 3 - Wards and Hanlans
- White-throated Sparrow - 109 - thru-out
- White-crowned Sparrow - 73 - thru-out
- Rose-breasted Grosbeak - 22 - Wards, Snug and Sanctuary
- Baltimore Oriole - 64 - thru-out

 Also seen were plenty of the usual suspects and also Black-crowned Night-Herons, Belted Kingfishers, Bonaparte's Gull, Cedar Waxwings, Scarlet Tanager and Bobolinks on the Hanlans Point airfield and fence.
