Hello friends of the alar...

A few pictures from a few days ago's enjoyment with local n. shovelers and g.w. teal. I won't insult your intelligence by telling you that the "both sexes of teal in flight" shot is obviously heavily cropped and moreover that the birds were very much in the distance.

Well? The weather is gloomy. I hope all is well...

p.s. and before anyone gives me any guff like "well geez those aren't exactly rare birds, how come you couldn't get a lower angle?" i'll tell you that i snitched these birds while wearing a damn suit! long story! anyhow, i saw those shovelers again today and got right into the muck with them...actually i fell in a little bit. one must be more careful!

You are a bold man, Phiddy, and now I see everything: no wonder your pics of waterbirds are so marvelously LOW! It's a real nifty perspective, to be sure...keep safe and warm in those waders, Sir!
