I was on the hawk watch stand with others this afternoon in Grimsby, Niagara Peninsula and observed four Bald Eagles pass singly over several hours on the thermals. Several mature adults in particular had spectacular white and dark contrast while the juvenile had more homogeneous dark colors. Coopers hawk, Red-tailed hawks and Red-shouldered hawks were also seen. The latter two were seen in pretty large numbers over several hours.
