Yesterday I put up my 3 Oriole feeders after reading an article how to attract them. I was not aware it is important to get them out early in May in advance of their arrival. My husband thought it was way too early but he humoured me anyway as he had to put the shepherd hooks in position. I read they must be in plain view. Low and behold this morning at 10:30 am there was the Oriole and a Hummingbird at a feeder. I guess my husband was wrong again! Just finished making 5 cups of nectar to fill my 2 Hummingbird feeders too.
