[attachment=0:1odimv3h]finch.JPG[/attachment:1odimv3h]Yesterday I saw a male purple finch or house finch on the feeder. Then I believe a female came in. It seemed to have white feather horns on the top of its head. I didn't get a good picture. I couldn't find a picture like this in my birding book. Is this something that happens in breeding season? I thought only males got special plumage in breeding season.
