Spent an hour at the Yarmouth Natural Heritage Area on Saturday; lots of common species to be seen. Eastern Kingbirds, Orioles, Chickadees, Chipping and Song Sparrows, Killdeer and Spotted Sandpipers, Turkey Vultures, a family of Canada Geese and a family of Mallards, the young nearly in adult plumage. Hanging out with the Mallards was a lone male Northern Pintail. I didn't even notice him until I looked at the photo later:



Lots of other kinds of birds in the air, too, thanks to the air show in St Thomas:

I believe that last one is an American Gashawk.  The Northern Gashawk would have pontoons.
