RFI-Long-billed Dowitcher and sandpiper

I could use some confirmation on this one, I saw two of these on the shore of Lake Ontario, by our pond in Port Hope.
Short-billed or Long-billed

I just noticed the post by JTF on the shorebird, it looks like the same bird.

I found my at the amherstview sewage lagoons, I am not sure how much longer the bill is with the long billed vs short billed.

I'm no shorebird expert, and I think the dowitchers are very tricky to separate, but the short-billed are far more common around here.  I always assume they are short-billed unless I see or hear something that makes me think otherwise.  They look like short-billed to me.

With the black legs and the stout bill, your sandpiper looks like a semipalmated.

Bit late on this one, I know, but I reckon the larger of the two peeps is a Baird's. Perhpas you'd already worked that one out! I'm certainly not well up on my shorebirds so if this contradicts anything that has already been said about this bird then just treat my e-mail as a suggetion.

Semipalmated and Baird's in my opinion.
