Most peculiar moment yesterday as a Swainson's Thrush seemingly fell from the sky (or trees above) and dropped dead on my shed roof. That is what it appears to me but who knows what happened. A loud noise right above me and the bird was dead outside. I know it wasn't there earlier during my activities out back. May have struck the skylight but with all the green canopy over the shed... just doesn't make sense.
