I may have not been sufficiently specific in our request as we have received no responses. My wife and I are ornithologists and raptor specialists currently working with Northern Saw-whet Owls here in the Finger Lakes of NY. We are seeking a vacation couple of days in Ontario this winter. We know of Amherst and the sensitivities of all who protect that gem. We would like to visit but need your assist with motel, dining and ferry information/suggestions. Of course, if anyone would share the best way to safely (for the birds) bird the island and guesstimate how much time we should allow, that would be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks in advance.
