I got "cabin fever" late Saturday afternoon and went out despite the rains.  I just needed to get some air, see some wildlife, hear some birds; and was beyond thrilled to spot this little one right along a trail.  Sure brightened up a rather dreary day!   :D

Nice find Rob.
Looks like this little one is tucked in and ready to wait out the rain over the next few days.

Thanks Meghan.  He shook off the current rain a few times which was pretty cute.  And then the couple yawns before he shut his eyes and went back to sleep.  Freakin' adorable!

I sometimes wish I/we could see these guys much more than one or two times in a season if we are lucky; but that would certainly take away the true delight of finding the few we do.  Two days later, I still have a bit of a glow on about this little guy.  That's pretty powerful stuff coming from such a tiny Owl and the brief time I observed and photo'd him!
