Ever consider that this initial post has added to the problem at Halls Road?  I get why you posted about the Screech Owl and how all these photographers are so wrapped up in the Barred Owl that they are missing anything else around them.  How many people are now going to Halls Road because the potential of 2 Owls is much better than one?  Viewing the devastation on the north path from all the people chasing the Barred is sickening.  Now some people will be scrounging around every damn tree with some kind of cavity in it looking for this Screech which means going off the path even more.

I'm rather new to this birding hobby but am learning fast from others about the ills of publicly posting Owl locations to the world.  Especially easy no work involved to see an Owl small areas like Halls Road.

Can't knock people wanting to come and see the Owl and to take some photos or just to look at him.  But can knock the people who constantly return again and again and again multiple times each week SOLELY for the Barred Owl.  I am aware there is a small group of locals who are at Halls Road often but they are there regardless of the time of year and if an Owl is present.  Most people have local parks they frequent if being outdoors is their thing.

If a pretty woman gets stalked, it's harassment.  So why can't stalking a pretty Owl be considered the same.  If whoever cares to argue this analogy then you are most likely guilty of being one of the bad people.

It is a privilege to see an Owl in the wild.  It is not a right.
