Hi everyone,
does anyone know if the barred owl is still hanging out in Bronte, and which trail or where it was seen?
also, any tips on finding owls (like observing hollows in trees, ect) any help would be great!
happy birding,
-Athena

Can't help you on the Bronte sighting but all of the Barred owls I have seen are sitting right out in the open in a (edges of forested areas) on a tree branch sunning themselves esp in the morning, Have seen them in bare trees that the bark kind of resembles their feather pattern so as to blend in. Just look for something that catches your eye a clump on a branch etc. also if you really get a location tip wait and watch as when they hunt they change there perches regularly. Good luck
