Beautiful sunshine and blue skies and chilly temperatures did not disappoint in birding today and Saturday. The wintering Trumpeter Swan numbers still remains in the 25+ range and a couple of Mute Swans live side by side with them. A large population of Mallards 2 of which are Bib Mallards. and On Sunday a Northern Pintail was noted among the Mallards on the ice. Quite a few Greater Scaup were noted as well a Buffleheads and Longtails bobbing out on the lake. The usual number of pigeons and Seagulls and Canada Geese flying around Reported sighting of a Harlequin Duck but I have not seen it yet.
