Planning to move back to Toronto, looking for a job there right now. Currently unemployed, young guy, 22. Looking at the possibility of renting an apartment for a short term, pay by week. The way I see it if I live in Toronto even on a short term basis it increases my chances of finding a job. So does anyone have any advice to give me?

The best advice of course is to beg any friends, family, remote acquaintances to let you sleep on their couches in exchange for money or manual labour. Failing that, Toronto does have at least three Hostels to consider if you don't mind setting your standards really low - but you might be risking bedbugs.  You might have better luck with the University of Toronto housing services. They have a website with affordable accommodations for visitors (I don't think you actually need to know anyone at UofT). Here's the link:  http://www.housing.utoronto.ca/stgeorge/tempHousing.htm

Best of luck to you!
