Today I saw an Osprey,a Coopers Hawk,a local Turkey Vulture(they nest further along the bluffs somewhere),4 Redtailed Hawks and 2 Broadwinged Hawks. Everything was reasonably close to very close for viewing. One of the Broadwings briefly landed in the park. All of these birds were seen after noon hour. Raptor migration has started(slowly),with just teases of whats to come.
Rosetta McClain Gardens is at Kingston Rd and Glen Everest Rd,one stoplight east of Kingston Rd and Birchmount.
Come September I will be there daily,to count and view migrating raptors. All are welcome.
