This year it seems that alot more of the Red Breasted Mergansers have come to the Scarb Bluffs and along with them staying out on the lake  and basically out of camera range quite a few of them venture into the inner harbour where the boats can launch. Aside from them not being too far from shore their is a pinch point where they fly through offering some excellant inflight views and swimming through the channel. Lots of Buffleheads, Trumpeter Swans and Mute Swans, Canada Geese and Mallards, and Longtails to capture too. If you really venture into the park and check out the lagoons a Male and Female Hooded Merganser can be spotted. Free parking, foot of Brimley Rd south of Kingston Road Scarborough.

The take-off series run is just gorgeous.  Especially pic #3 in that series, that has got to be one of the best pics I have ever seen.  Period.

not sure if I saw you there then I was there around 8:30am started on the north side but wanted the sun at my back and went to the other side and climbed down and into the rocks almost at water level so if you saw a guy doing that then that was me. Thanks for the compliment on the shots I just got the camera back from Nikon and have noticed a marked improvement in the focus levels and points.

Nope that wasn't me.  I haven't been to the Bluffs since January.  I find that you do really well with actions shots...obviously you put a lot of effort into it and it's paying off.
