This is not an official report from the TOC outing. I joined the TOC group in birding the area along the airport fence from Hanlan's point ferry terminal to the Hanlan's Point beach (no shore birds present there) between 8.30 and 10.00 or so. After this I diverted from the group and birded the area along the fence on my own until the 12.30 ferry back to the mainland.
Fair number of birds, but no fallout. Large numbers of of white-throated and white-crowned sparrows were the birds of the day. More from my notebook this day:
