Hello! My name is Angel and i am new to the board
i am also fairly new to birding, only one year in and still vastly deft to most species...i am still learning
i am also no expert at photographing - it is my passion, but only a hobby.
i also like to take videos with my camera if i am able to, and i got an excellent video of a red tailed hawk devouring a squirrel in High Park a few weeks ago, you can see the video here:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=g705qv_BQmAPhoto:
he/she was very comfortable with people standing around and gawking while he/she ate. showed no signs of nervousness at all, which allowed me to get fairly close, as in almost directly underneath where he/she was perched. it was the closest i have ever gotten to a wild hawk, and definitely an experience i will never forget
the places my husband and i frequent in the area are high park, lambton woods, tommy thompson park, samuel smith park, humber bay park, and the humber marshes. we plan on exploring more places in the east end this fall!
i have many more videos and photos if anyone wishes to see them!
i am very glad i found this forum
