need for care at this time of year -baby fawn

While trying to get a warbler to sit for a shot I heard a snort behind me and turned to see this Doe running off down the river



about 15 mins later I caught what I thought might be a fox disappearing into longer grass - upon a very slow approach I found this fawn trying desperately not to be noticed. Obviously I had unintentionally came between mother and baby. I left the area.



I went back much later and found the fawn gone - hopefully with the Doe.

great find...the fawns seem to be starting to show up now. I am sure the doe came back for her fawn, they always do. Best to always given them the distance as you did

Awwww ! That's fabulous ! Haven't seen a fawn yet this year but noticed a yearling buck with ummm...antlerettes.
