Hi all:

I just signed up for eBird and want to get an eBird app for my Iphone. I see that there are two for North America but I'm unsure of the difference between the two - BirdLog and BirdsEye. From what I can tell, BirdsEye provides reports from other birders while BirdLog allows you to report your sightings. Am I correct on this being the major difference? What are some other differences?

BTW, both are on sale until Labour Day.

Thanks in advance,

Jon

I use BirdLog, which is the only option for Android. I find it easier to use than the eBird website, although it lacks some features.  (I go back and edit reports on the website later if I want to attach photos or add breeding codes, etc.)

From what I understand, BirdsEye shows recent eBird data.   I don't know how effective it is, but I find the eBird website next to impossible to navigate with any browser on my phone.
