In the past week, we have found four dead raccoons in one specific area and one severed raccoon head a short distance away.  Two other dead raccoons were found in the same area about two weeks ago.

For the past two years, we have found decomposing raccoon bodies in this area along with a large number of raccoon skulls.

It is hard to say whether this is a disgruntled cemetery worker or some sick individual.  How to catch this individual/individuals??  Any thoughts?

we found two more dead raccoons today.  They are in close proximity to the other dead raccoons.  That makes seven dead raccoons in the past ten days or so.

Does anyone know if distemper is rampant this year in the wildlife populations?

Has anyone else noticed dead raccoons in the cemetery?

How can one tell if they have been poisoned or just died a normal death?  Some of them, though, were this year's juveniles.

You might report this to Toronto Animal Services.

You should report this.  If not for the sake of other Raccoons, for the other wildlife that may also be killed because of this cruel deed.

A birth certificate shows we were born.  A death certificate shows we died.  Pictures show we live.

a friend talked to someone at animal services.  They recommended talking to the humane society because they said it is very unlikely that such a number of raccoons would die of distemper in such close proximity to each other.  In other words, it is very suspicious.  Also, these dead animals pose a threat to the other animals there and to the dogs  - some are on the leash but many people let their dogs run off the leash in the cemetery.
