Talking to our new neighbour across the street the other day. They were returning from a Christmas party during the heavy snow storm two Saturday's ago at 3:00 am when they rounded the corner approaching their house there was a very large Coyote moving down the middle of our street. The approaching vehicle didn't seem to phase the animal it just continued walking down the middle of the street.

This might explain why our pooch has been so active recently in the middle of the night (waking us)  and at times won't enter certain walking paths at night.

Merry Christmas everyone, stay warm and safe  :D

As you know, they usually appear MUCH larger than they really are....especially in the dark....I'm sure your border collie is canny enough to hold her own. Amazes me that I have seen more coyotes in Mississauga and GTA than in rural area I live in....in fact while I hear them, I've never seen them. Not even as road kill.

I notice the reign of terror in the Beaches has subsided...I understand the army was on standby lol.....
