On foot/bike/ski etc. Take the Humber R. Bike path North (walk 5-10 min.) from Dundas (E.side of River) access from residential streets south of Dundas bridge (Varsity & go R.on Old Dundas to river, poor parking). Or park at Etienne Brule Pk. at Old Mill. Take Bike/foot route N.(20 min.) When the path crosses the river N. of Dundas at the Railway bridge to the West side you're there, begin birding.
Alternate; From James Gardens (Eden Valley E. of Royal York, N.of Humbertown Plaza) you are already on the West side of river. Follow the bike/foot trails S.(5 min.) out of James Gardens. Lambton Woods is immediately contiguous (Signed), begin birding.
Bird the river as is visible and the woods west of river. There are few trails west into the wilder areas which can be very wet. Wander the N/S trails and good luck. Birding can be fair to good. Botanically; same, fair to good.
NB: The West side of the river 'roadway' south from Dundas to Old Mill is closed in winter Dec-April?.
