Woke up this morning and asked my 5 year old what we should do today. He says "Lets go bird hunting Daddy". So off we went in search of our favourite birds.

Our hunt started quite easily as our resident Sharp Shinned hawk landed in our back yard again in search of food at the backyard neighbor's bird feeder lol. (St Clair and O'Connor area)- note the white post beyond the hawk.... that's the neighbors feeder..... the local hawk restaurant lol

Next we headed past spots where I have seen some soaring hawks in the past while out driving my bus around. We drove past 3 locations and were feeling a little disappointed as we approached the 4th and final location I had scouted out. This time we were not disappointed. A young Red Tail Hawk came out to play within seconds of us getting out of the car and soared in circles around us for about 5 minutes before drifting off on the thermals in search of a less human populated area. (Kennedy Rd and Cummer Ave)

Lastly on our way home I just finished saying "this is another spot where Daddy sees hawks sometimes" and we looked up and spotted what I believe to be a Broad Winged hawk sitting on a TV antenna on top of an apartment building.
(Kennedy and Sheppard)

Another successful outing I must say.
