Hi Everyone,
I think, I am going to need your help as it is time to step up the press on both the City and the Province on signs and enforcement.
I would suggest that everyone who has an interest in seeing the Grebes and other wildlife protected at Humber Bay East write a letter to the following people:
councillor_grimes@toronto.ca (disinterested, no action.... needs a wake up call)
mayor_ford@toronto.ca (can't hurt, election year.... maybe take notice)
In terms of the Letter you write, I would CC everyone above and email it to 311 in the form of a complaint letter asking for Enforcement.
Now.... VERY IMPORTANT.... be NICE. Bad language, sarcasm etc. (not suggesting you would do this, but..) should be put in check. Nice letters get attended to with these bodies, not nasty ones. Please be polite and to the point.
If you are outraged, let them know and ask them what they are going to do about enforcement.
Case and point, the boater you see in the image was chased off this morning by a woman on the white bridge. Had she not been there, I was already heading down the board walk to do the same, but he left very quickly. This is what we want to stop.
I have no update on the damaged Cormorant, I am assuming it passed away. There have been no further sightings that I am aware of.
This is what happened today:

This jolly fellow did turn around when warned! Very quickly, I might add....

Although this guy turned around, look at how bright he is...he has his BIG DOG on the bow of the dingy. Birds on the whole LOVE DOGS. I guess he was taking SPOT in for a closer look at the Grebe nest. Why not!!
